Find Yamhill County Released Inmates

Yamhill County released inmates no longer appear in the same way as people held in the county jail. A search for Yamhill County released inmates therefore begins by identifying the last custodian, then matching that custody event to a release record, court action, corrections record, or supervision source. Yamhill County released inmates may have entered the community, moved to another agency, or remained under legal supervision. The right search can distinguish those outcomes while avoiding the common mistake of treating an absent roster name as proof of release.

Yamhill County Release Outcomes

A Yamhill County release is a custody event, not one universal legal result. The Yamhill County Correctional Facility may release someone after security is posted, a court orders pretrial release, a charge is dismissed, time is served, or a local sentence ends. The jail may instead transfer that person to the Oregon Department of Corrections, another county, the U.S. Marshals Service, or another lawful custodian. Each event removes the person from one facility, but only some place the person back in the community.

The agency that last held physical custody is the first record holder to identify. YCCF controls its booking, movement, and release entries. ODOC controls state-prison custody records. The Federal Bureau of Prisons controls FCI Sheridan records. Courts supply the legal order, judgment, and case outcome, while parole, post-prison supervision, or probation records describe control that can continue after a jail or prison door opens.

Yamhill County Release Record Fields

A useful Yamhill County release record answers five questions: who the person is, which custody episode is at issue, what legal authority ended it, where the person physically went, and whether control continued. A scheduled date is not enough. Records should be tied to the booking number, admission period, facility, and related case so people with similar names are not confused.

The Yamhill current roster shows Name, Book Date, Charge, Bail, and Scheduled Release. Its detail may add the Sheriff file number, booking number, offense, arrest date, and physical descriptors. Those fields document current display and a plan. They do not show the actual release time, reason, or receiving agency.

Requested fieldWhat it establishes
Full name, alias, and booking or SID numberIdentity and the correct custody cycle
Admission date and releasing facilityThe specific episode being researched
Actual release date and timeWhen physical custody ended
Release authority or typeSecurity, order, sentence completion, transfer, or other basis

A Scheduled Release value can change. Only the completed jail, DOC, or federal custody event confirms what happened.

Request Yamhill County Release Records

The Yamhill County Sheriff records page accepts requests through NextRequest at any time. Records staff also provide phone help on weekdays and walk-in help on posted Tuesdays and Thursdays. The current non-victim request charge is a nonrefundable $20 per person or incident, covering up to 30 minutes and 20 pages. Extra work or pages can cost more. Ask for an estimate and electronic delivery when practical.

  1. Give the person’s name, known booking or file number, and an approximate custody range.
  2. Ask for an existing booking sheet, custody-history print, movement entry, or release-log entry. Oregon law does not require staff to create a custom list.
  3. Request the actual physical release date and time, release authority, and destination or receiving agency. Include holds or detainers if those fields exist.
  4. Use the case number to obtain the matching judgment or later order from Yamhill Circuit Court Records.
  5. Compare the agency event with the court or receiving-agency record before drawing a conclusion.

ORS 192.324 generally requires a public body to acknowledge or complete a written request within five business days, subject to statutory exclusions, and to finish without unreasonable delay. Actual completion depends on scope, review, payment, and exemptions. Juvenile, victim, medical, security-sensitive, personal, active-case, and sealed material may be withheld or redacted under Oregon’s public-records statutes. A narrow request for segregable public fields is more useful than a demand for every record connected to a person.

For an ODOC custody cycle, use the ODOC Public Records Center. Ask for final physical-release and discharge facts, the sentence-computation face sheet, and any public first or last face sheet. A Pen Pack may contain public-information prints, judgments, photos, and some parole or discharge records. Former Offender Records can help when a fully discharged person no longer appears in the public offender search.

When Yamhill Bail Is Paid

Yamhill’s bail process changes with the hour. During ordinary court business hours, Trial Court Clerk Room 135 receives bail. After hours, the jail-lobby Team3 kiosk and the online Team3 portal provide payment channels. Processing, payment acceptance, and actual release are separate events.

Another county’s hold may remain even after funds are accepted on the Yamhill matter. A new order, warrant, detainer, or administrative processing step can also prevent an immediate exit. The payment receipt therefore supports one part of the record, but it does not prove completed release. Confirm the actual event with the YCCF Release Office or the release record.

Yamhill Release Property and Funds

Property and funds are handled as administrative events apart from the legal release decision. YCCF offers a Release of Property by AIC process. A person still held may authorize the release of money or property or approve a clothing exchange. The authorization remains valid for 30 days, and the jail does not accept property for a person in custody.

No official source gives a standard YCCF exit time, release door, family waiting area, weekend timetable, ride, or gate payment. Those details should be checked with the Release Office for the specific event. Completing a property authorization does not show that legal custody ended, just as a legal release order does not establish that every piece of property has been returned.

Yamhill Work Release Is Suspended

The YCCF Work Release and Restitution Center reflects Yamhill County’s long local role in community corrections. Older material describes it as intermediate custody between confinement and total release, with approved activity outside a secure setting. The current Corrections Program page, however, says work release is suspended until further notice.

Historical brochures remain useful for understanding the program, not for promising current placement. Participation, a pass, work outside, or completion of a daily schedule was not an unconditional discharge. A participant remained subject to program rules and could return to more restrictive custody. Current or historical questions belong with Yamhill County Community Justice.

Yamhill Release Court Records

Oregon offers three useful court-access levels. The free Find a Case service supplies basic case information and calendars. OJCIN Online provides deeper Registers of Actions and judgment dockets. Yamhill Circuit Court also provides a courthouse public terminal and record requests through Room 135.

A court file can outlast a jail-roster entry. It may show dismissal, acquittal, judgment, sentence, probation, revocation, amended judgment, or a set-aside order. Yet it does not record the exact moment jail staff completed the physical handoff. Pair it with the release event. Under ORS 137.225, a granted set-aside seals eligible official records after the statutory conditions and waiting period are met. A missing result after sealing is not a reason to restore stale material from an unofficial source.

Find Yamhill County Released Inmates

Start with the last known custodian and an approximate date. The Yamhill Current Roster answers whether a person is displayed now. Save the lookup time and any Scheduled Release value. If no match appears, try a reasonable spelling variation, but do not declare the person released. The list has no historical 24-hour or 72-hour released archive.

The official Corrections page shown in this Yamhill County source links to the live roster and jail contacts.

That entry point is best treated as a current-status check, followed by the documentary and statewide steps below.

  1. Check the live roster to establish current display, not past release.
  2. Search VISOR for current custody or supervision and note any offline-feed warning.
  3. Use Oregon Offender Search when ODOC custody or Community Corrections may apply.
  4. Read the court judgment and latest docket entries for the legal outcome.
  5. Check BOP or ICE only when the last custodian was federal.
  6. Request the actual agency event when an online source cannot prove release or transfer.

The shorter Jail Releases: 24 Hours and Jail Releases: 72 Hours paths both explain the absent local feed. For a named person, the full chain above remains necessary.

Oregon Search for Yamhill Releases

The Oregon Offender Search, or OOS, covers people currently in ODOC custody or under current local Community Corrections supervision. A Yamhill County person may remain visible after leaving prison because parole or PPS continues. A fully discharged former offender may disappear. OOS is not a permanent archive of every person released in Oregon.

Public OOS documentation does not identify a projected or tentative release-date field. For that date, use sentence-computation records, the latest Board order when applicable, and the Yamhill projected release process.

Check Yamhill Release Supervision

Yamhill County Community Justice handles ordinary day-to-day local supervision. The Oregon Board of Parole and Post-Prison Supervision sets parole or PPS conditions, issues warrants, and handles serious sanctions. Probation is imposed by a court and can exist without a prison release. Parole applies to older or special Board-authority sentences. PPS usually follows a modern determinate prison term.

A current OOS Location or Caseload can be a clue, not the final record. The stronger evidence is the latest Order of Supervision, amendment, Board Action Form, and discharge or inactive order. A person whose supervision transferred outside Oregon may appear through the Interstate Compact route. An absconder or Board warrant alleges noncompliance and possible return to custody; it does not alone prove present incarceration. See Yamhill Probation & Parole for the local reporting and records paths.

Yamhill Release Alerts Through VISOR

Oregon’s current notification service is VISOR, not the older VINE branding used in legacy brochures. VISOR coordinates data from county jails, ODOC, Community Corrections, BOPPPS, and the Oregon Youth Authority. It supports phone, text, email, and TTY notices for changes such as a release or transfer. Registration is confidential and optional.

Search by full or partial name, Oregon SID, or County ID. A notice is evidence that the system reported a change. It is not a certified release record, and delay or an offline jail feed can affect timing. A fully discharged person may no longer appear. The Yamhill VINELink Inmate Search explains current VISOR registration and separates it from the legacy four-digit telephone PIN workflow.

Federal Releases in Yamhill County

FCI Sheridan creates a local source of confusion because it is in Yamhill County but belongs to the Federal Bureau of Prisons. The county roster and ODOC OOS do not cover that federal prison. The BOP Inmate Locator accepts a federal register or agency number and a name search. Results may show a release date with “Released” or “Not in BOP Custody.”

Those labels mean only that BOP does not currently hold the person. Another custodian, a residential reentry placement, or federal supervised release may follow. The federal docket and any receiving jurisdiction provide the next check. The U.S. Marshals Service also moves federal prisoners and may use local contract beds, but it offers no public person locator comparable to BOP.

ICE Release Records Near Yamhill

The ICE Online Detainee Locator System covers current detainees and some people released from ICE custody within the prior 60 days. Search requires an exact nine-digit A-number and country of birth, or exact biographical details. Exclusions and upload delay make absence inconclusive.

An ICE release can mean removal, conditional release, an alternative-to-detention arrangement, or transfer. It must not be translated automatically into a return to the Yamhill community. The limited window also makes the federal docket and agency record more important over time. YCCF should not be called an ICE detention facility: county records support a U.S. Marshals rented-bed relationship, not that label.

Yamhill Release Set-Aside Effects

Oregon set-aside timing under ORS 137.225 may run from the later of judgment or release, and the sentence must be complete. Once a qualifying order is granted, official records are sealed. That changes what a later name search may return, even though a historical custody event once occurred.

Booking photos have a separate protection. ORS 133.875 gives qualifying acquittal, no-prosecution, set-aside, vacatur, or pardon cases stronger removal rights against commercial publication. Oregon law also restricts routine agency release of booking photographs under ORS 133.870. The Yamhill Release Mugshots page identifies the narrow official photo channels without treating a photo as proof of present release status.

Yamhill County Release Facilities

Each Yamhill County facility has a different release-record route. The adult county jail uses YCCF records and the Sheriff request process. The suspended work-release center is tied to Community Justice. Youth detention requires restricted juvenile channels, never the adult roster or mugshot path. FCI Sheridan uses federal records and the BOP locator.
